hey...not only was I going to say "hey, you were at the same party [info]rigel was at", but she's in the last picture!

This makes me very happy.

*hugs* Hi! :)

Lovely. You totally could do this professionally.

*hugs* :)
I have been thinking about it. :) I wonder how I would go about that. :)

You could start by doing an informational interview or two. I have worked with many professional photographers through my job, and would be happy to introduce you to some, if you'd like...
5th-Jul-2007 01:46 pm (UTC)
I know a few professionals I could introduce you to, too. Might help. [info]shuttergal, for instance.

Hi - don't know who you are, but we were at that party, and love + butter is our business card, and that's a really cool shot. As are all the others. Thanks for posting!

Yay! I was sortof introduced to you by [info]regyt, but ran off to take photos. love + butter sounds really neat; I hope I can visit sometime. :)

It takes a lot to impress me in a fire-dance photo, but you seem to have captured exactly what I like (and what most fire photos don't) -- the shape and light on the dancer as well as the fire they're holding. These are great. Thank you for posting them.
12th-Jul-2007 03:00 am (UTC)
Thanks! The larger glass helps; with my old camera it was very difficult to get firelit dancers in focus. *hugs!* :)

nice!

are there more?

(hmm, a few people there whose names I don't know or don't remember...)
11th-Jul-2007 07:38 pm (UTC)
There are always more. ;) Are you looking for anything in particular? :)
4th-Jul-2007 05:47 pm (UTC)
The foaming-over-Ipswitch picture is kinda making me hot & twitchy but I'm not sure why. Huh.
12th-Jul-2007 02:58 am (UTC)
*grin* My reflexes in thinking, "Hey, I should take a picture of that were really slow, too." *hugs* :)
5th-Jul-2007 01:34 pm (UTC)
These are such stunning portraits. You're an incredible artist. And it was so good to see you!
11th-Jul-2007 07:40 pm (UTC)
<3 Thank you, and so are you! :) *hugs*

You were shooting with your 50mm all day?

Looking at these is making me kick myself for my whining about a slow camera and not having a wide enough field of view. Every one of them looks like you were using the perfect lens.
11th-Jul-2007 07:15 pm (UTC)
During the day I use a 100mm macro f2.8. That and the 50mm are pretty much the only lenses I've been using. *hugs*

Hi! I'm the girl with the vile-colored Jones soda..

(These are lovely photographs, is what I meant to say!)
5th-Jul-2007 10:29 pm (UTC)
Hi! That's one of the pictures I was wondering "who is that?" about.
11th-Jul-2007 07:31 pm (UTC)
Oh yay! Hello! Thanks. :) You are easy to photograph. :) That soda one always looks like an advertisement to me. :) I have some others of you, too... :) <3
11th-Jul-2007 07:35 pm (UTC)
Why, thank you, sir. I'm rather used to my shutter-bug relatives, so I'm a little oblivious to cameras at this point :)
11th-Jul-2007 07:43 pm (UTC)
*bows* Your reply has what we call promptness. :) Also, linky.

Those pictures are amazing. Is there any chance I could snag a larger copy of that last one? :) It can be sent to my livejournal e-mail.
12th-Jul-2007 02:57 am (UTC)
Sent. Sorry about the delay. :)
