an update

A couple people have requested updates. Most of my updates have photos associated with them, but word posts have not associated with them the time picture posts have. I've been very busy (but still reading LJ ;).

I'm growing things like whoa.

herbish: lemon balm, parsley, oregano, lavender, basil (several varieties), spearmint, peppermint (I'm planning to keep the mint contained, as I fear them taking over), chives, cilantro

food: rhubarb, blueberries, raspberries (purple, red), blackberries, mesclun, cantaloupe, zucchini, cucumbers (pretty yellow ones and green), strawberries (four varieties), corn (white), ruby lettuce, collards, broccoli, carrots, radishes, tomatoes (several varieties), watermelon (several varieties), various onions, sunflowers, cabbage, eggplant, bell peppers, snow peas

pretties: day lilies (oriental, asiatic), succulents, cypress vine, morning glory, ornamental grass (pathetic, but not dead), poppies, ipomopsis, african daisies, purple wax flower, aster, bonfire salvia, orange cosmos, hollyhock, black-eyed susans, money plant, lupine, foxglove, etc.

Most of the above are in the dining room / nursery. There's probably over a thousand plants growing in there. I need more shade things, and way more time/help to transplant and organize them.

Found in the garden so far: forsythia, lilacs, day lilies, roses, various little things.

I miss people of Boston and NYC, Iowa and Ohio, Cali, Japan, Taiwan and other values of far far away (tm).

I started a lot of house projects: kitchen shelving, some painting, stair stripping, cut a hole in the living room wall. I have finished far fewer than I have started. ;)

My vehicles are annoying me. Thinking about making some changes there.

minerva42 and superfinemind are lovely, as always. :)

*hugs everyone!* :)

Aww. ^_^ You're sweet.

ipomopsis sounds like something totally not a flower.
