Photos of fire from sunspiral and roozle's wonderful party. Performers are regyt, water_childe, buxom_bey and others. Taken with a Canon s500.

The last one is my favorite. All flashes are from other cameras.

As may be. SLRs are pretty much sexy no matter what. ^_^

...How different would it be? the biggest difference between analog and digital is the medium of exposure, isn't it? dSLRs I've seen, anyway, didn't look too terribly much different from mine, aside from having more buttons and fewer levers.

(Mine's a Minolta X-700, which was sorta the granddaddy of dSLRs... got... three auto modes and a manual mode.)

Heh. The main difference is in exposure; the controls are the same, but without seeing what you get, you pretty much have to trust an aSLR to do it for you, where I can be fairly sure a dSLR is doing what I want. Ditto for all settings; I can check if an image was focused properly, etc. Since much of the point of an SLR is being able to fiddle with things until they look the way you want them.

However, my experienced is colored by much older SLRs than yours... yours looks easier. :)

Aah... dSLR I saw didn't have a viewer built in. ^_^
