I spent the afternoon doing touch-up on my new car's paint. It was educational - I've hardly ever used spray paint and never on metal. I think I learned that some situatons do require primer, to seal the metal and old paint from the moisture of the new paint. I think most of my work will hold, but will find out. Fortunately, the correct paint for my car is $3 at Wal-mart. GM Artic White. :)
The experience was pleasing in an obsessive, meditative way. I haven't spent hours painting in many months. I'm quite hungry now.
(Most of my paintings are oil, though I've dabbled in acrylics and watercolors. I am currently without a studio or any reasonable facsimile. My user icons are from oil paintings.)
